What we’re…
Watching: The Mixer - This fun older series follows a penniless nobleman and valet as they rob crooks of their ill-gotten gains. Simon Williams and Jeremy Clyde star.
Reading: The Best Boomerville Hotel by Caroline James - I spotted this on sale for 99 cents (still on sale at time of writing) and grabbed it purely because it had “Lake District” in the description. It’s a fun, light read about a fiftysomething woman who spots an ad for a luxury Lake District retreat for the “young at heart” and takes a chance. Strong Hallmark vibes here - which may be a pro or con depending on your perspective.
This is the first in a series of adult coloring books we’re creating to celebrate the landscapes of some of our favorite British TV shows. Cassocks & Cobblestones: A 1950s Cotswolds Adult Coloring Book is inspired by the BBC’s 2013 production of Father Brown (available to stream in the US on BritBox) - think cobbled streets and cottage gardens, Norman church towers rising above rolling hills, stately homes, and peaceful churchyard paths.
We expect to receive our first printing by the end of the month, and copies are expected to ship within a business day of their arrival here.
