If you’ve been wondering about whether this year would get another installment in the A Ghost Story for Christmas series, you’re in luck. Mark Gatiss has adapted the Charles Dickens story “The Bride’s Chamber”, and Martin Freeman is starring. You can read more or check out the first-look image HERE.
No word yet on an American streaming outlet (though many older entries in the series are currently spread around Amazon Prime Video and AMC+/Shudder).
A quick update on the autumn edition of the US British TV Streaming Guide - all pre-orders have shipped, and most have been delivered, aside from a few of the later orders that were fulfilled from the second batch that came in from the printer.
We have a small number of extras available if you didn’t order during the initial pre-order phase. You can check them out or place an order HERE.
What we’re…
Watching: The Secret Life of Lighthouses - Presenter Rob Bell hosts this fun, scenery-packed series about lighthouses. Most of the ones featured are in Ireland and Great Britain, but he does cross the pond for an episode in a later season. It’s a nice bit of escapism from all the chaotic news we see everywhere else.
Reading: Salt Lane by William Shaw - This first in series is still on sale at time of writing, and it follows DS Alexandra Cupidi, a new transfer to Kent from London. She doesn’t get on very well with her new colleagues, and she doesn’t get much time to adjust - because right after she arrives, a woman is found dead in the local marsh with no apparent cause of death.
