Happy New Year! We hope you had a lovely holiday season full of family, friends, and plenty of British TV.
First off, the big announcement - our latest British TV Streaming Guide (US Edition, Winter 2026) has just gone live on Amazon. The reasonably-priced printers all quoted very long shipment times, so for now, we don’t have any copies in our own shop - but we encourage anyone who’d like a copy to grab one on Amazon.
It’s the 10th guide we’ve published, and it’s the longest one yet - with 241 pages and more than 2500 different shows you can stream in the US. Each streaming service has a section where you can read about what’s currently playing and what’s coming soon (with descriptions and original air dates). In the back, we’ve included an index so you can look up the streaming service when all you know is the name.

THIS WEEK IN BRITISH TV

On Netflix, the 30th brought Ricky Gervais’ new standup special, Mortality.
On AMC+, Season 2 of Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale premiered on December 25th. On January 2nd, they’ll add The Murder of Joanna Yeates (also coming to Sundance Now). The true-crime documentary looks at the case of a young woman found murdered in Bristol on Christmas Day in 2010.
On Paramount+, January 8th brings the thriller Girl Taken, about twin sisters whose lives are shattered when one of them is abducted from their quiet English village.
I'm not gonna lie to you, Duncan. Watching you live your life is like watching Scotland try to qualify for the World Cup, It's frustrating. Embarrassing. At times excruciating. But ultimately, I live in hope that you'll get there in the end.
