As we wait on a few streaming networks to send over the final details on autumn premieres, we’re opening up pre-orders for the upcoming British TV Streaming Guide: US Edition, Autumn 2026. With cool weather coming soon, there’s no better time to curl up with tea and a good British TV show.
This is our 12th time publishing the guide, and if you’re not familiar with it, it’s basically an old-fashioned television guide tailored to the needs of Americans who stream British TV shows on US-based services (like Acorn TV, BritBox, Tubi, Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, HBO, etc.).
It offers more than 220 pages of listings for 24 different streaming services, with each show including a brief description and air date. In the back, we have a searchable show index, along with a few bonus features (in this one, we look at spooky British TV and film + another feature on rare and underappreciated gems you can stream).
Because it’s a timely guide, we do pre-orders to make sure (a) that we print an appropriate number of copies to cover everybody who wants one (without ending up with thousands of dollars worth of extra copies), and (b) that we can pack them up and ship them out to you the moment they hit our doorstep.
We expect this edition to get to us somewhere around September 6th-12th, based on current estimates from our printer.

THIS WEEK IN BRITISH TV
On BritBox, new episodes of Escape to the Country continue at a rate of four new episodes every Friday through September 25th. On the 10th, they added a new season of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, and today (the 13th), they’ve added a somewhat recent classic, Prey, starring John Simm as a police officer on the run, trying to prove his innocence. On the 18th, they’ll add the 2018 adaptation of Vanity Fair.
On Acorn TV, August 17th brings us new episodes of Summertide, The Ridge, and season 4 of The Chelsea Detective. They’ll also be adding the 2016 film The Watchman on the 17th, in which Stephen Graham stars as a CCTV operator who gets into a bit of trouble when he takes matters into his own hands.
PBS Passport and PBS Masterpiece subscribers gained access to season 5 of Professor T on Sunday the 9th.
On BBC Select (+ BritBox Premier), the 13th (today) brings A Tale of Two Britains, The Wonderful World of Blood, and The Tech Billionaire Takeover.
